The Galloway Family Reunion was started in 1975 with only a few in attendance. The first meeting was held in Greenville, Mississippi, at the home of Audren Harma and Joe Dyer Galloway Garner. From that small beginning, we have grown tremendously. According to records, the number of descendants of Patrick Caldwell and Sarah Elizabeth are over 500. There are uncles. aunts, brothers, sisters, fathers, mothers, and all sorts of cousins located all over these United States and further. Family members reside in the states of Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Washington and Wisconsin, as well as in Sardinia, an island that is part of Italy. We have met every year since the meeting in Greenville, Mississippi. We started meeting in the Swan Lake Community Center Building at Swan Lake, Arkansas for several years, then moved to other locations: a Paper Mill, a Church, and a Park, all in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. When President Louis A Galloway, Jr. moved to Springdale, Arkansas, we changed our Annual Meetings to the Fayetteville and Springdale, Arkansas areas. At the 2007 Reunion Meeting, we voted to hold the Reunions every other year and at other locations in the States. This way, we will see more of our wonderful country and see where some of our loved ones live. In 2009, we will hold our Reunion in San Antonio, Texas. At that time we will vote on the location of the 2011 Reunion. We always have a great time shopping for anything and everything, eating good food, enjoying great fellowship and reminiscing with family members. Of course, everyone knows that the Galloway Family is well known as connoisseurs of good food -- preparing and ESPECIALLY EATING. Please check out EVERYTHING in this web site and ENJOY YOUR FAMILY.
